At the German residential property market, the smaller would be increasingly more important among the bigger German cities, writes REFIRE. This is a realization of the sixth Accentro home ownership report. Overall, the number of sold condominiums in the 82 biggest German cities has slightly increased by 1.1 percent to 130.000. In some cities cities such as Halle (Saale) or Fürth there have been increases of 130% and 59%.
“The importance of home ownership has risen sharply in all regions of Germany in the recent years”, judges Accentro-CEO Jacopo Mingazzini the market. The residential property market 2013 was clearly affected by the election campaign without a doubt. “Some of the policy instrument, such as the planned rental price brake and also the increase of the real estate transfer tax discourages private and institutional investors”, explains Mingazzini.
