The pedestrian precinct around the well-known Schinkel fountain boasts an amazing variety in small-scale retail and gastronomy. Brunowstrasse is a rather family-friendly area with several shopping facilities nearby. An elementary school and a secondary school are in the immediate vicinity.
The high quality of living is explained not least by the locality’s convenient transportation access. The terminus of the U6 underground line, also served by buses night and day, is around 400 metres away. Equally close, the Tegel rapid-transit station provides short commuted to Tegel Airport, the central railway station and to downtown city. Motorists benefit from easy access to the A111 expressway.

Please note, however, that Berlin’s new law re-regulating the statutory provisions governing rent ceilings (MietenWoG Bln; hereinafter -the Rent Cap-) became effective on 23 February 2020. Unless declared unconstitutional, void or ineffective by a court of law, the Rent Cap will remain in effect for an initial period of five years.
